  • Throughout August 2010 - Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival - One of Canada's largest professional Shakespeare festivals. Held in Vancouver's Vanier Park, the festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas and several special events.
     
  • 1 to 14 August 2010 - Folklorama began in 1970 as a one time multicultural event to celebrate Manitoba's Centennial.
     
  • 2 August (Monday) 2010 - Civic Holiday in Ontario, Manitoba, Nunavut and Northwest Territories - First Monday in August
     
  • 2 August (Monday) 2010 - New Brunswick Day in Brunswick - First Monday in August

  • To be confirmed 2010 - The Pirate Festival - Held at Fort York, Toronto, the festival is held on weekends and includes music, comedy and entertainment.
