• May 29 to Sept 27 2008 - Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival  - Bard on the Beach is one of Canada's largest professional Shakespeare festivals. Held in Vancouver's Vanier Park, the festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas and several special events in two performance tents from June through September. 
   
•   Alberta International Children's Festival  - Annual arts event that celebrates performing, literary and visual arts for children.
   
• Burlington's Sound of Music Festival is a FREE four-day summer musical extravaganza that appeals to every generation.
